RK FOUNDATION HISTORY

Started as a small plumbing company, founded by Ron Kinning, in 1963 in Northeast Nebraska, RK has grown into an international company that provides construction, manufacturing, advanced fabrication and building service solutions. Now with over 1,700 employees, RK still prides itself on its family values and its community contributions through safe and quality work, workforce education, innovation and corporate social responsibility.

Board members present a check to the AGC Education and Research Foundation, an organization that
supports our industry through its robust scholarship program and innovative projects.

In 2011, the Kinning family decided to formalize and grow RK’s charitable contributions by forming the RK Foundation. Since its inception, the RK Foundation has granted over $2.4M to local organizations that contribute in the areas of community development, education and health.

The RK Foundation’s growing reputation as an impact player in charitable giving is rooted in the desire to ensure the communities in which we work are the communities that we make lasting, positive impact.
