The RK Foundation believes that philanthropy is more than writing a check; it’s an opportunity to help changes lives and contribute to the community. RK funds the RK Foundation by recycling all scrap metals generated in RK’s facilities and project sites. As the region’s largest source for mechanical and electrical contracting, custom manufacturing, steel fabrication, prefabricated buildings, facilities and equipment maintenance and water treatment solutions, RK works on the largest projects in Colorado and nationwide–meaning, our facilities produce a lot of scrap metal to fund the RK Foundation. All proceeds from our recycling go directly to the RK Foundation. In 2016, RK recycled over 1.5 million pounds of various metals.
